Introducing the Q9. A highly advanced heavy duty member of the Accu-cut lineup that can quickly process the largest rolls of material that carpet mills can produce. It features more automated controls, a larger inspection area, high-speed reroll, and a high-capacity load cradle. The machine folds in pneumatically on both sides to bring the profile the 6 feet 10 inches wide. Like the Q7, it fully processes a 15 foot roll of material. Even with its larger size the Q9 is still portable and can be locked into place and leveled with its lifting breaks. Similar to the Q7, the Q9 also features a roll improver that can adjust the position of the roll. The roll improver squares the roll with the cutting track and protects against walking/telescoping. A large diameter knurled measuring wheel, constructed to strict specifications, provides excellent contact with the material ensuring the most accurate measurement possible. The Q9 has an auto run feature the keeps the rollers active allowing the operator to use the machine without holding down the jog button. This feature simplifies the wrapping and taping of material. The Q9 also has a single touch variable speed control that automatically adjusts each cradle to the proper speed. There are 10 speed settings just like the J5 and the Q7. The Q9 features a two direction circular cutter like the Q7.
The self-sharpening circular blade rotates as it moves across the cutting track and will not operate unless the hold-down bar is in the lowered position. The blade which cuts all types of carpet, vinyl, and even carpet cove base lasts up to thirty thousand cuts. The Q9 also features a PLC control system. It makes operating the Accu-Cut easier and more efficient. It features a security keypad to prevent unauthorized use. It also has the ability to electronically link-up with most of the major flooring software programs on the market. This feature enables the user to automatically update their inventory count and print bar codes to clearly identify cuts for installers. This eliminates hand written sheets reducing errors, saving time, and allowing for better control of the inventory.
The user can also integrate this system with bar coding software to allow for easier inventory analysis. The PLC control system also includes a foot and inch counter that automatically slows down the machine and stops precisely at the desired length. This system allows the operator to store cut lengths that are their most commonly cut sizes and keep track of the number of cuts made. The Q9 through the use of pneumatic controls has turn switch opening and closing cradles on both sides. They pneumatically open and close the left and right side of the machine. This system is very fast and can save a lot of time. The rollers can roll material at 129 feet per minute. The left side cradle opening up allows for the largest of rolls to be placed on the machine. When it's time for the material to be dumped, this can also be handled by way of the switches. In addition, the pneumatic system is used to control the shuttle load cradle. This allows the material to be shifted back and forth up to 2 feet. This feature simplifies the loading process and allows the user to bring the material close to the measuring wheels if it is not under the wheel from the initial set down by the forklift. The load cradle also through the use of four motion sensors pivots the material to automatically square it with the cutting track. This feature works with the roll to ensure a square-cut and to help eliminate conning. A feed table can be added to the left of this machine to increase efficiency even more. The feed table can hold rolls before they are to be put on the machine. We can add buttons to a Q9 that will allow the user to control the feed table from the Q9. The Q9 is a great full-featured machine designed for facilities with significant work volume and a desire to increase operational efficiencies.
Wrap around foot cable control, air powered roll up arm, speed control, auto run feature, adjustable load cradle and automatic anti-cone control provide for ease of use.
